Briggs & Stratton to invest millions in Auburn plant
Emerging from Chapter 11 restructuring, mowing manufacturer Briggs & Stratton, based in Wisconsin, is investing $9.4 million to add 34 employees and new equipment for it plant in Auburn, where the company builds its V-Twin Vanguard engines. Point Broadband bringing fiber-based broadband to Lake Martin

Athens launches revitalization project
Athens Main Street in Limestone County has announced a new downtown revitalization project, Merchants Alley, that’s in its construction phase.
