Pursell Farms resort near Sylacauga has added a new executive chef. New Orleans native Tommy Hines is creating dishes for Arrington, home to the resort’s signature cuisine, and Old Tom’s Pub, a casual restaurant featuring specialty cocktails, a curated list of bourbons and craft beers. Hines also creates menus for the resort’s special events, and develops the culinary presentations for weddings, banquets and group programs. – AL.com

Spanish plant owned by Denso, Fujitsu to halt production as virus causes shortages
A Spanish plant owned by Denso Corp and Fujitsu Ltd is prepared to halt some production of auto electronics components if necessary because of a shortage of parts from China due to the coronavirus outbreak. The factory in Malaga expects to suspend its first production line – which assembles car audio components – from March 16, factory managing director Blanca Hermana told Reuters on Wednesday. Denso operates a warehouse facility in Montgomery. – Reuters
