TikTok ban could affect thousands of Alabama businesses
A looming ban of TikTok would affect 78,000 Alabama businesses that use the social media platform. That number comes from a 2023 report from Oxford Economics. The U.S. Supreme Court is preparing to consider a federal law that is forcing TikTok’s parent company ByteDance, based in China, to either sell to an American company or face a ban in the U.S.  – Alabama Political Reporter
Aldi will open 5 stores in Alabama
Aldi, which recently acquired more than 400 Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarkets, plans to expand further in Alabama, rebranding at least four Winn-Dixie stores in 2025. Those stores are in Auburn, Pinson, Bessemer and Semmes. – AL.com
Birmingham will have new country music festival
Organizers have announced the inaugural Iron Hills festival, a country music festival to be held at Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham. The festival will take place Oct. 11-12, 2025. The lineup and ticket prices have not been announced. – Bham Now
