Three Alabama companies selected for National Made in America Holiday Gift Guide

Humminbird, Alabama Sunshine and Bourbon Pens are in the 12th annual National Made in America Holiday Guide

Three Alabama businesses have been selected for the 2025 Made in America Holiday Gift Guide. Humminbird in Eufaula, Bourbon Pens in Birmingham and Alabama Sunshine in Fayette made the list.

The guide, in its 12th year of publication, was launched to make it easier for shoppers to find American-made products.

“The holiday shopping season is a critical financial period for any company, but for Made in America businesses, it’s especially challenging. The U.S. advertising space is dominated by importers and large retailers. On top of that, the social media platforms through which many shoppers find Made in America companies are increasingly direct-to-consumer avenues for Chinese manufacturers,” said Scott Paul, president of Alliance for American Manufacturing. “Our 2025 Made in America Holiday Gift Guide empowers consumers to buy the Made in America gifts they want to buy but aren’t readily finding.”

Humminbird is a leader in marine electronics, delivering fish finders, chart plotters and sonar systems trusted by anglers nationwide.

Bourbon Pens makes one-of-a-kind pens from real bourbon barrel wood. The pens can be customized with an engraving. Customers can even select the distillery from which your bourbon barrel pen is made.

In the mid-1970s, Fred Smith discovered a passion for growing jalapeno peppers. He wanted to share his bounty with friends and family, so he stared supplying them with his own farm-to-table hot sauce, making 50 to 100 gallons a year. Twenty years later, he launched Alabama Sunshine, which now offers the hot sauces, BBQ sauces, jams and relishes in Fayette.
