Birmingham-based Therapy Brands, a technology partner for mental, behavioral and rehabilitative therapy practices, has acquired New Hampshire-based the Echo Group. The Echo Group created EchoVantage EHR, a visual-based electronic health record for behavioral health. – Therapy Brands

 

Magic City Classic will remain in Birmingham

The Birmingham City Council voted to keep the Magic City Classic at the city’s Legion Field for the next four years. The contract for the Classic – the annual football game between Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University – had expired after last month’s game. – WVTM 13

Pancake restaurant coming to Alabama

Staks Pancake Chicken, a Tennessee-based brunch restaurant, will open its first Alabama location in Auburn. The owners of Auburn’s Collegiate Hotel will own the franchise. The menu includes pancakes, waffles, French toast and more breakfast items.  – Bama Buzz

 

Space Command decision coming soon

A decision on whether U.S. Space Command headquarters will remain in Colorado or move to Huntsville will be coming soon, says Gen. James H. Dickinson, commander of U.S. Space Command. Huntsville has been named the location, but governmental groups have been analyzing the choice.  – Yahoo! News
