The Schools Foundation gives back to Madison County educators

A holiday-giving campaign to support local area teachers

The Schools Foundation (TSF), a longstanding supporter of educators since 2000, is launching a holiday-giving campaign to support local area teachers. This December, TSF is partnering with Happi Pappi to provide complimentary beverages and breakfast items to give back and ‘recharge’ teachers across Madison County. The holiday initiative is sponsored by Toyota Alabama and Aerojet Rocketdyne Foundation. The public can make donations to support this initiative and/or The Schools Foundation on TSF’s website, www.theschoolsfoundation.org.

This initiative comes on the heels of TSF announcing its acquisition of RECHARGE, an online resource that addresses local area teachers’ mental health and wellness needs. TSF plans to take RECHARGE, a pilot program created by Leadership Greater Huntsville’s 2022 Flagship Class, to the next phase and offer RECHARGE events in the coming year and possibly beyond. TSF will add a collaborative professional development component for teachers. The goal is to provide a Recharge experience for teachers to slow down, share coping mechanisms and best practices, and improve their mental health and classroom skills.
