Terry Saban, others launch Saban Center fundraising campaign
Terry Saban, wife of Coach Nick Saban, is joining the effort to raise funds for the Saban Center, the STEAM hub her foundation is planning for downtown Tuscaloosa. One Rodney Scott’s Alabama location closes, others to open
The Birmingham location of Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ in the Avondale neighborhood has closed, but Scott plans other Alabama locations. In addition to its remaining locations in Homewood and Trussville, Rodney Scott’s will open in Hoover and in Chelsea. – AL.com
Sliders brand looking at Alabama locations
Louisiana-based Smalls Sliders, which specializes in cheeseburger sliders, is looking to open four Alabama locations. Auburn will be the first by August 2024, with locations in Montgomery, Prattville and Troy to follow. – QSR
Atlanta-based insurance broker opens Alabama office
