Teriyaki Madness, one of the country’s fastest growing food franchises, celebrates its second entre into Alabama this week in Hoover.

The Hoover restaurant had a soft opening in mid-December 2019 and is celebrating its grand opening this week with several specials. The first Alabama location opened in Madison in June, 2018.

The Seattle-style teriyaki restaurant offers bowls of manifold flavors made with all-natural chicken, steak, salmon or tofu with fresh, stir-fried vegetables and a base of steamed white, brown or fried rice or Yakisoba noodles.

The Hoover restaurant is owned by Anil and Chinmay Patel, a married couple who met as university classmates in India in 2006. Anil Patel moved to Hoover after Chinmay Patel had been living in Huntsville for several years. They started exploring business opportunities and found Teriyaki Madness.

“We wanted to go into the restaurant industry because I have experience as a cashier and a manager, so I already understood important aspects of this business,” said Anil Patel. “The food, though, was the biggest point of emphasis for us. As soon as we tried it, we were sold on the quality of the menu.”

Teriyaki Madness, founded in 2003, is a fast-casual teriyaki shop concept with made-to-order dishes prepared with all-natural ingredients. The simple menu allows customers to customize their order. The restaurant chain was recently recognized among Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top Food Franchises of 2019 and was named one of FastCasual’s 2019 Movers and Shakers. It also has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list for three consecutive years.

“In the past decade, we have been growing at a rapid pace, introducing mouthwatering, bold flavors in new communities. We are ecstatic to be opening up our second Alabama shop in Hoover,” said Teriyaki Madness CEO Michael Haith.
