Southeast Health has named Tamara Myers director of laboratory services, which includes the main Medical Center Lab, the Medical Center Outpatient Lab and Southeast Reference Lab.
She has been serving in the role on an interim basis since November. She joined Southeast Health as a laboratory manager in 2019. Prior to her work in Dothan, she was a laboratory manager at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Myers received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences at Texas A&M University in College Station. She earned her master’s in business administration in healthcare administration from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. In addition, she is certified as a specialist in blood banking from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, and certified as a medical technologist from The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
