Three medical facilities serve the residents of Pike, Barbour and Bullock counties

 

Licensed for 97 beds, Troy Regional Medical Center has been serving the area for 53 years.

Troy Regional Medical Center celebrated 53 years of service to the residents of Pike and surrounding counties in June 2022.

Troy Regional Medical Center is licensed for 97 beds and is fully accredited by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

The hospital is city-owned and is operated under the direction of The Troy Hospital Health Care Authority. The medical center is home to more than 30 physicians, surgeons and advanced practice providers offering an array of specialty services. Troy Regional Medical Center provides an in-hospital rehabilitation swing bed service as well as an extensive range of outpatient services, both diagnostics and treatment.

Troy Regional Medical Center has more than 325 full and part-time employees.

Now at Troy Regional are the Troy Regional Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center, an outpatient facility offering care for patients with non-healing wounds, and the newly renovated Women’s Imaging Center, which houses 3-D mammography services, bone densitometry and ultrasound. Other improvements within the diagnostic imaging area included an advanced 80-slice CT scanner allowing for faster diagnostic scans including cardiac scanning.

Also, the hospital has partnered with Keystone Healthcare Partners to provide emergency medical services. It is Keystone’s first partnership in Alabama.

The hospital has plans to add a regional cancer radiation center.

Medical Center Barbour offers several digital radiology services, including MRIs, CT scans, stress tests, whole body scans and more.

Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula is licensed for 74 beds and serves the health care needs of the community with emergency, surgical and acute care services. It also has a senior behavioral unit.

There are more than 250 full and part-time employees.

The for-profit hospital is operated by Alliant Management Services in partnership with the Healthcare Authority of the city of Eufaula.

Medical Center Barbour is a state-certified acute care facility. The 24-hour emergency department is staffed by specially trained physicians and nurses and treats more than 16,000 patients annually.

The hospital’s wound care clinic received The Robert A. Warriner III Award for Clinical Excellence for superior healing rates for 2021, an honor presented to only 50 out of 600 Healogics Wound Care Clinics. Infusion services also are included in the specialty clinic.

MCB also is able to offer telehealth in partnership with Access Physicians for tele-cardiology services.

The hospital has three MCB Family Care Clinics in Hurtsboro, Eufaula and Louisville. A specialty clinic is located inside the hospital.

Bullock County Hospital

Bullock County Hospital has provided service to the citizens of Bullock County for 70 years.

The hospital is licensed for 61 beds and provides emergency department, outpatient services, medical/surgical services and acute inpatient psychiatric and medical detoxification services. It has 175 full-time and part-time employees.

In 2022, working with Bullock County Healthcare Authority, the hospital added a cardiac monitoring system, beds for the medical/surgical unit, stretchers for the emergency department, IV pumps throughout the hospital, cardiac defibrillators and Omnicell medication dispensing cabinets.

In addition, Select Physical Therapy is providing outpatient physical therapy services at the hospital.
