These two counties have four hospitals serving their communities

Regional Medical Center in Anniston is the largest not-for-profit health care provider in northeast Alabama.

RMC Health System

Regional Medical Center (RMC) Health System is the largest not-for-profit health care provider in northeast Alabama.

There are two RMC campuses in Anniston — Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center (RMC Anniston) with 323 inpatient beds, and the Stringfellow Campus of Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center with 125 beds. Both are accredited by the Joint Commission and recognized as top performers.

RMC Anniston offers advanced cardiovascular, oncology, orthopedic, joint replacement and rehabilitation services, women’s and children’s services and numerous other specialty offerings.

Also located inside the hospital is Noland Hospital Anniston, a long-term acute-care hospital service for medically complex patients.

RMC Stringfellow offers comprehensive acute care inpatient services, general and specialized inpatient and outpatient surgical services, rehabilitation and diagnostic imaging services.

Citizens Baptist Medical Center is one of the largest employers in Talladega County, with more than 350 workers.

Citizens Baptist Medical Center

Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega is located on the I-20 corridor and is a vital part of the community. It has 122 beds and is one of the largest employers in the county, with more than 350 employees. The hospital is part of the Baptist Health System and Tenet Health joint venture, Brookwood Baptist Health.

Its services include chest pain and stroke care; surgical services that include minimally invasive surgery; orthopedics with rehabilitation; and psychiatric care.

The hospital received an “A” Leapfrog Safety Grade for fall 2021, a national distinction that recognizes a hospital’s achievements in protecting patients from harm and error in the hospital.

Coosa Valley Medical Center

Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, with about 520 employees, is one of the largest employers in Talladega County and is an independent, non-profit hospital owned and governed by the Sylacauga Health Care Authority.

The hospital has 168 licensed beds in its main hospital, which also includes a 20-bed senior behavioral unit, a professional office building, a medical arts building and the Childersburg clinic. The hospital has an estimated annual economic impact of about $140 million.
