Senia Johnson has been elected the president of the Alabama Association of Realtors. She also is the first Black American to be elected to the position in the association’s more than 100-year history.
“I am both humbled and honored to be the first Black American to serve as the president of the Alabama Association of Realtors,” said Johnson. “This milestone is not just a personal achievement, but a testament to our progress toward diversity and inclusion in our industry. I look forward to leveraging this opportunity to advocate for all members and to promote further equality and representation within our association and the broader real estate community.”
Johnson stressed that the association’s role is two-fold: to ensure the integrity of the profession and to protect the rights of property owners. She plans to advocate, help educate and provide collaborative initiatives to achieve these goals.
“Senia is an incredibly hard-working and well-respected realtor,” said Birmingham Association of Realtors President Chris Wood. “We are facing challenging times as realtors, but with Senia’s leadership, I believe we can come together and face these challenges head-on.”
