Mobile-based Roberts Brothers Inc. has acquired ACP Real Estate Inc, including its ACP Vacation Rentals, expanding the Mobile real estate firm’s presence on Dauphin Island.

With the acquisition, Roberts Brothers adds two sales office on the island and 125 condominium and single-family vacation units.

Kelby and Robin Linn founded ACP in 2002.

“We’re island locals committed to treating our customers and team like family,” said Kelby Linn. “Partnering with Roberts Brothers was a natural fit because they share so many of the same values that we do. Their character and desire to put clients’ needs first are all apparent in the way they do business. The Roberts Brothers brand is the most recognized and respected in all of Mobile and Baldwin County.”

Roberts Brothers CEO Daniel Dennis added, “We are thrilled to welcome the ACP sales and rental clients, guests and team to the Roberts Brothers family. The ACP team brings extraordinary experience and an impeccable reputation to our organization. They emphasize a people-first approach and will be a tremendous asset.”

In announcing the acquisition, Roberts Brothers recalled the firm’s Dauphin Island history. “Roberts Brothers has a long, rich history on Dauphin Island. Founders, John & David Roberts, were a part of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce’s original investment on the island in the early 1950s. They also played a major role in the sale of the first 1,500 lots in a mere 48 hours despite only being able to access the island by boat at the time.”

Roberts Brothers, now a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate, was founded in 1946 by World War II veterans John and David Roberts in their parents’ garage. It now has nearly 300 team members providing real estate and related services.
