Torch Technologies, a defense contractor with offices in Huntsville, has appointed Rita Hill director of supplier outreach. In this role, she will lead small business outreach, subcontractor assessments, partnering strategies and long-lead strategic business opportunities. She also will be responsible for business development in support of strategic growth in Dayton, Ohio.
“Rita is a well-known, trusted name in the defense industry,” said Brad Walker, Torch Technologies president. “She will play a key role in growing the Torch presence in DoD National Intelligence Center markets, like Dayton, and expanding our core capabilities into new markets.”
Hill has more than 30 years’ experience in systems engineering; Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems; program management and executive leadership in the defense industry. She previously worked for Radiance Technologies, where she most recently served as executive vice president for the national security sector. Prior to Radiance, she spent 20 years with Science Applications International Corp. (now Leidos), previously serving as vice president for advanced analytics.
Hill has a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a master’s in engineering management from the University of Dayton.
