Regions names three to board

New directors bring leadership, cyber security expertise to board

Regions Financial has named three additional board members – Mark Crosswhite, Noopur Davis and J. Thomas Hill — bringing total board membership to 14.

“Our three new directors bring a diverse range of skills, experience and perspectives that will further position Regions for continued growth,” said Charles McCrary, chair of the Regions Financial Corp. and Regions Bank boards. “From extensive experience as sitting CEOs of large companies, to deep knowledge on the technology and cybersecurity front, the input provided from these new members will be invaluable to our boards.

Mark Crosswhite is chairman, president and CEO of Alabama Power Co., which, like Regions, is headquartered in Birmingham. Crosswhite also chairs the board of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA) and of Prosper Birmingham. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a law degree from the University of Alabama.

Davis is executive vice president and chief information security and product privacy officer for media and technology company Comcast. She is an engineering graduate of Auburn University with a master’s from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She serves on the board of Entrust and of the National Technology Security Coalition and on the board of advisors to Immersive Labs.

Hill is chairman, president and CEO of Birmingham-based Vulcan Materials Co. He serves on the board of the EDPA and the Birmingham Business Alliance and earlier served on the board of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Central Alabama. He is a University of Pittsburgh graduate with credentials from the Wharton School’s Executive Management Program.
