Reach helps women in Alabama businesses
The Catalyst Center for Business and Entrepreneurship, a Huntsville-based group, has established the Reach Women’s Business Center in Clanton, hoping to expand the Catalyst’s success to central Alabama. BCA opposes vaccine mandates on employers
The Business Council of Alabama is speaking out about vaccine bills moving through the Alabama Legislature, saying they’re causing confusion and placing employers in a no-win position. BCA says it will continue to fight all federal and state vaccine mandates. – Business Council of Alabama

Vernon site of first regional ExtraMile location
California-based ExtraMile Convenience Stores has opened a location in Vernon, its 1,000th store and its first in the Southeast. EMCS’ goal is to double ExtraMile sites nationwide by 2027. They are currently mostly in the western United States. – Convenience Store News
PNC Bank to recognize student-athletes
PNC Bank is partnering with Auburn University and the University of Alabama to recognize student-athletes through its PNC Achievers program. It’s the first of PNC’s programs to come to the state as the company expands its Alabama presence.
