Publix plans a Nov. 1 opening for its newest Alabama store in Irondale, and more are on the way. Projects being built or announced include stores in Fairhope, Wetumpka, Semmes, Opelika and Millbrook.  – AL.com

New event space coming to Huntsville’s Ditto Landing
A $10 million renovation will turn Huntsville’s State Docks Building at Ditto Landing into an outdoor destination and renovated indoor space. Officials intend for the new space to draw weddings, family reunions, conferences and other gatherings.  – News 19

Louis Allis obtains preliminary injunction
Warrior-based Louis Allis has obtained a preliminary injunction against Ideal Electric Power Company, prohibiting Ideal from using Louis Allis’ trademarks and from claiming to own Louis Allis. Ideal had touted its acquisition of Louis Allis in June. Louis Allis says Ideal falsely claimed it had acquired the Louis Allis large motor business. – Yahoo! Finance
