New prison facility will be named for Ivey

A 54-building, 1.4-million-square-foot prison complex in Elmore County will be named the Governor Kay Ivey Correctional Complex. The men’s facility is about 47% complete and is scheduled to be finished in May 2026. â€“ Alabama Political Reporter
