Medical Properties Trust settles with Steward

Birmingham-based Medical Properties Trust has reached a deal with Steward Health Care System, which filed for bankruptcy in May, to restore MPT’s control over its real estate and sever its relationship with the troubled Steward chain. Three buildings in downtown Mobile are for sale together for $3.7 million. The buildings on St. Louis Street house the Cheese Cottage, Wingman Brewing Company and BoHayden’s. The sale is being handled by Birmingham-based commercial real estate operator Shannon Waltchack. â€“ Bama Buzz
