This week’s episode of the Business Alabama podcast is about construction. More specifically, it features Billy Norrell, CEO of Alabama Associated General Contractors, which, with a thousand or so members and offices in Irondale, Madison, Florence, Montgomery and Mobile, bills itself as Alabama’s leading construction association.
Norrell, who has been with AGC since 2013, talks about a surprising year for his industry. “It has been a remarkable successful year, under the circumstances, for our industry,” he says. “It has been a great time for Alabama construction.”
Still, challenges remain, particularly when it comes to building a qualified workforce and dealing with a slowdown in the supply chain.
Billy Norrell discusses all of that, as well as fly fishing, going to concerts and other ways he unwinds away from the office.
