New Northrop Grumman lab will work with missile defense system

Northrop Grumman’s new Missile Defense Futures Lab in Huntsville will work to develop and test an integrated missile defense system that will respond to nuclear and other threats. The flagship location is in Huntsville, but MDFL has facilities in Colorado, Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland. – AeroTech News

 

Gadsden poultry plant ‘not likely’ to get approval

U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt says the FAA is not likely to give its approval for a controversial plan to build a poultry processing plant in Gadsden on property owned by the Northeast Alabama Regional Airport. He said the agency sent him a letter calling the plant a “hazardous wildlife attractant” that would negatively affect the airport. – AL.com

Fairhope big box will become self-storage

Stoic Equity Partners and 68 Ventures plan to turn a vacant big-box retail store into a self-storage facility that will feature remote management at the facility.  The 45,020-square-foot building on Ecor Rouge Lane has also served as a grocery store and office building. – Multi-Housing News
