Business Alabama is making plans for its upcoming Business Alabama Awards in early 2027, but first, we need to hear from you.
We’re looking for nominations for the best and brightest in big and small companies all over the state.
The inaugural Business Alabama Awards were given in 2023, and 2026’s awards were given in February.
Deadline for 2027 nominations is Oct. 29, and you can make your nominations here.
The nomination form is below, and here are the categories:

- ALABAMA COMPANY OF THE YEAR (Alabama’s top overall company in 2026. Awards will be given for large company and small company.)
- CEO OF THE YEAR (Alabama’s top CEO in 2026.)
- STARTUP OF THE YEAR (Alabama’s top startup in 2026. This should be a company that launched, won a funding competition or participated in an accelerator in the past few years.)
- PHILANTHROPIC PROJECT OF THE YEAR (Top philanthropic project led by an Alabama business in 2026.)
- ALABAMA EXPAT OF THE YEAR (An Alabamian now living outside the state who has become successful in business.)
- PROJECT OF THE YEAR (The top project of 2026. This could be new construction, expansion, a new product, etc. 2023’s winner was NASA’s Space Launch System, 2024’s winner was Montgomery Whitewater, and 2025’s winner was expansion at the Port of Mobile.)
- CENTURY CLUB (Honoring companies that are at least 100 years old.)

You may submit as many nominations for each category as you wish, but each nomination must be done separately.
