Birmingham brew supports Freshwater Land Trust
Birmingham’s Trim Tab brewery has released a new beer, Shady Spot, inspired by Shades Creek and the Freshwater Land Trust. It’s the first in Trim Tab’s Watershed Series, which supports the land trust, trails and clean water. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Freshwater Land Trust. – Bham Now
Former Troy football player named to board of trustees
Freddie Thomas, a Troy University alumnus who was part of two national championship football teams at the school, has been appointed to Troy’s board of trustees. Thomas was inducted into the Troy University Hall of Fame in 2015. – Alabama Political Reporter
