Birmingham’s Trim Tab brewery has released a new beer, Shady Spot, inspired by Shades Creek and the Freshwater Land Trust. Freddie Thomas, a Troy University alumnus who was part of two national championship football teams at the school, has been appointed to Troy’s board of trustees. Thomas was inducted into the Troy University Hall of Fame in 2015. â€“ Alabama Political Reporter
