NASA: Artemis moon mission going ‘flawlessly’

NASA’s Artemis leaders are giving the space flight rave reviews now that it’s at its halfway point. The unmanned Orion space capsule, powered by a Space Launch System developed in Alabama, has traveled 270,000 miles. The mission is expected to end with a splashdown Dec. 11 in the Pacific Ocean. – AL.com

 

More than 100K tickets sold at Orion

In the Orion Amphitheatre’s first year in Huntsville, the venue hosted 25 ticketed concerts and sold about 109,000 tickets. Three of the new venue’s concerts were sell-outs. – AL.com

Mercedes will end marathon

February’s Mercedes-Benz Marathon in Birmingham will be the final one. The race and festivities Feb. 10-12 will be the marathon’s 21st. The event has raised more than $5 million for local charities.  – Mercedes Marathon
