Should Birmingham’s Encompass Health Corp. end up spinning off its home health and hospice group, multiple companies would be interested in acquiring it, according to Reuters. Alabama Innovation Corp. has first meeting

The newly established Alabama Innovation Corp., the state’s first statewide public-private partnership focused on entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, met for the first time late last week. The board of directors is expected to meet again next month.  – Alabama Daily News

Wallace State hosting career fairs

Wallace State’s Center for Career and Workforce Development will host two career fairs this month. The Healthcare Career Fair will take place on Thursday, March 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the School of Nursing and Center for Science Building. On March 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., a Campus Career Fair is planned at Tom Drake Coliseum. Wallace State is in Hanceville. – Wallace State
