Denmark’s Mountain Top Industries, a global leader in manufacturing aluminum roll covers for pickup trucks, will expand into the U.S. with the opening of a facility in Montgomery.

The plant, in Montgomery Industrial Park along I-85, will include $13.3 million in capital investment and support 90 full-time jobs.

The announcement came Wednesday at an event attended by Montgomery County Commission Chairman Elton Dean, Montgomery Mayor Steven L. Reed and Russ Tyner, chairman of the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100, among others.

“On behalf of Mountain Top Industries, we are very excited to announce the opening of our 73,000-square-foot facility in Montgomery,” said CEO Henrik PetersenMont. “Mountain Top is a leading global manufacturer of aluminum roll covers designed and branded specifically for our automotive OEM pickup truck customers. We are incredibly grateful for the amount of support we have received from both state and local officials in making this project a reality and will work hard on making it a success for our valued customers, employees, suppliers and local community. “

The Mountain Top facility is the latest to be announced for the industrial park.

“Many years ago, the Montgomery County Commission made a big commitment to the economic development of the county by investing in this 300-acre park. With the assistance of the Chamber, and Nim Frazer with Industrial Partners, this park is an economic driver for the area,” Dean said. “We are honored to add Mountain Top to the great companies located in this beautiful park. Not only will Mountain Top be providing new well-paying jobs, they will supply Hyundai Motor Manufacturing for the exciting new Santa Cruz pickup program.”
