Rebecca Maisel, senior vice president of legal and government affairs for Gulf Distributing, was appointed chair of the board for the National Beer Wholesalers Association.
Maisel has served on the NBWA board for nine years, previously chairing the association’s Next Generation Group.
“My grandmother, Freida Maisel, founded Gulf Distributing back in 1973, and I always knew I wanted to be a beer distributor and part of our family business. I am proud to take my family’s legacy of serving our industry to a national stage,” said Maisel.
Headquartered in Mobile, Gulf Distributing serves customers in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.
Maisel joined Gulf Distributing 16 years ago and leads its government affairs, legal, human resources and organizational development efforts. She previously served as chair of the Alabama Wholesale Beer Association and is an active member of the Beer Industry of Florida.
