Mitchell “Mitch” Peters has been promoted to vice president of information security at Redstone Federal Credit Union. He previously served as senior assistant vice president for information security.
In his new role, Peters will continue to ensure the credit union’s information assets and those of its members are properly protected. During his previous information security roles, he has helped build and maintain layered security; create a robust information security awareness employee program and implement an ongoing technology risk management process.
“With cybersecurity threats escalating worldwide, it is imperative that we maintain a strong security posture, while ensuring that our business units have the ability to operate effectively and efficiently,” Peters said.
Peters has been with Redstone for 27 years and holds degrees in finance from Alabama A&M University and computer information systems from Columbia College. He also holds information security professional credentials.
