Meredith Calhoun is the founder and CEO of Tessa Commercial Real Estate, a Birmingham-based firm specializing in adaptive reuse, historic redevelopment, and user-driven development. With more than 24 years of experience in commercial real estate, development, and operations, she has led over $100 million in transactions since 2020 and more than $40 million in development across her career.
Her expertise spans site selection, deal structuring, SBA and private financing strategies, and turning underutilized properties into high-performing assets. Prior to launching Tessa, she served as COO of Corporate Realty Associates, where she led brokerage, operations, and urban revitalization projects through complex public-private partnerships.
A graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, Meredith also serves on the City of Birmingham’s Industrial Development Board and the SmartBank Advisory Board.
