Mazda Toyota Manufacturing increases wages, offers sign-on bonus

New, current team members will benefit from new compensation package

 

Mazda Toyota Manufacturing today announced a sign-on bonus in addition to a recent wage increase for new and existing team members at the Huntsville plant.

The sign-on bonus, as well as an appreciation payment for current hourly employees, will total $3,000.

“Mazda Toyota Manufacturing understands that our team members are the secret ingredient to our success,” said Mark Brazeal, vice president of administration at MTM. “We want them to feel the appreciation we have for them as they build the two beautiful SUVs that MTM produces.”

A wage increase at the end of October saw production team members’ starting wages rise from $17 to $18.35 an hour, with top wages increasing from $23 to $25 an hour. Skilled team member saw increases from $23.50 an hour to $25.64 for starting wages and top wages increasing from $33 to $36 an hour.

New team members who join MTM before Feb. 28, 2022, will be eligible for the $3,000 bonus.
