EBSCO land expands Oak Mountain State Park

EBSCO Industries has closed the sale of a 1,644-acre tract of land known as the Belcher Tract to the Forever Wild Land Trust for conservation. The land is adjacent to Oak Mountain State Park and expands it to more than 11,000 acres.  – Business Wire

SouthPoint completes merger with Merchants Financial

Birmingham’s SouthPoint Bancshares has completed its merger with Cullman-based Merchants Financial Services and will be known as SouthPoint. The two companies’ banks, Merchants Bank of Alabama and Southpoint Bank, will continue to operate under their names, but Merchants will be a division of SouthPoint Bank. – Stockhouse
