Longtime Alfa Claims VP Mike Lovelady retires

Alfa Insurance Regional Vice President of Claims Mike Lovelady has retired after 35 years with the company. Taking the regional vice president role will be David Bailey.

Lovelady began his career in 1986 as a claims adjuster in Thomasville before relocating to Tuscaloosa. He was promoted to district claims manager in 2001 and to regional vice president in 2014.

“Mike is one of the finest claim leaders in the industry and is tremendously admired by his peers and coworkers,” said Bryan Hubbard, senior vice president of claims. “He has helped develop a strong team renowned for the exceptional customer service they provide to Alfa customers. We wish him all the best in this next chapter.”

David Bailey

David Bailey, a member of the claims team, has been promoted to regional vice president of claims. He joined Alfa in 2005 as an adjuster and has held various positions throughout the company including physical damage manager and district claims manager.

“David has a strong work ethic and a passion for the claims business,” said Hubbard.

Bailey is a graduate of Brigham Young University and the Insurance Institute of America. He also holds a certificate of legal studies from Huntingdon College and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the Birmingham School of Law. He is a member of the Alabama Bar Association.
