Gov. Kay Ivey has signed legislation creating the Distressed Institutions of Higher Learning Revolving Loan Program. The new program will help public and private colleges and universities in times of financial distress. Birmingham-Southern College says the new program will provide “much-needed resources” while the school launches a campaign to raise $200 million. – Bham Now
