Kuehne+Nagel, one of the world’s largest global logistics company, landed its first charter cargo flight at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport on Sunday. The flight was from Stuttgart, Germany. Kuehne+Navel will eventually operate from a new $25 million air cargo facility. The airport is expected to break ground on the facility in May. – Bham Now

 

3 Austal execs indicted

Three current and former executives of Mobile-based shipbuilder Austal USA, including former president Craig Perciavalle, were indicted by a federal grand jury in connection with an accounting fraud scheme. The indictment said the company misled investors about the company’s financial condition for three years. – AL.com

Alabama Media Group plans move

Alabama Media Group plans to move its Birmingham headquarters from the city’s north side to the Parkside District this summer. The new location for the group, which produces AL.com and the Lede, among other things, will be in the Denham Building on First Avenue South. – AL.com
