Alabama firm helping to transform former strip club site in Atlanta
Birmingham’s Capstone Communities is partnering with Chicago’s Core Spaces to build a student housing tower on the site of Atlanta’s Cheetah Lounge strip club. The 1,600-bed facility near Georgia Tech is expected to be completed by 2029. – Atlanta Journal-Constitution via AL.com
Historic Alabama hotel has closed
Selma’s historic St. James Hotel closed its doors Saturday. The hotel opened on Water Avenue in 1837. The hotel closed once before for about three years before reopening in 2021 after a $5 million renovation. – Bama Buzz
