The first phase of UAB Hospital Highlands renovations are now complete.
General contractor Doster Construction Co. has renovated the interior of the existing third floor east quadrant of the hospital, an 18,000-square-foot renovation, to create a new outpatient clinic.
Now open for patients, the new clinic consists of family medicine, imaging, geriatric and vein specialties.
“The Highlands project was complex due to the full-scale renovations taking place in an active hospital. Communication was key to limiting facility disruption and ultimately this project’s success,” said Manny Norrell, Doster project director.
In addition to Doster, KPS Group is serving as architect and Interior Elements is providing casework and furniture solutions.
