Trivitron Healthcare, a global medical technology company based in India, has acquired the Kennedy Company, a Scottsboro-based manufacturer of radiation protection X-ray shielding material and acoustic barrier products. – eHealth

 

First Mobile Aldi opens this week

The grocery store chain Aldi will open its first Mobile location on Thursday. The store is on Rangeline Crossing Drive in Tillman’s Corner. The German company is also building its regional headquarters and distribution center in Baldwin County. – Fox 10

World Games sets performers for ceremonies

Nelly, Yolanda Adams and Alabama are among those set to perform at the opening or closing ceremonies of the 2022 World Games. The lineup also includes “American Idol” alumni Taylor Hicks, Bo Bice and Ruben Studdard. The games are July 7-17 in Birmingham. – Billboard

 

Birmingham Promise has new executive director

Samantha Williams is the newly named executive director of Birmingham Promise. The program provides up to four years of tuition assistance for Birmingham City School graduates and offers coaches to help them succeed.  – City of Birmingham
