Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama is donating two new vehicles to schools in Chambers and Macon counties for their Modern Manufacturing pilot programs. Students will be able to disassemble and reassemble the cars as part of their education. – Montgomery Advertiser

 

Auburn launches new D.C. office

Auburn University has created an Office of Federal Relations in Washington, hiring an alumnus with years of experience in D.C. Andrew Newton is Auburn’s new director of federal relations. The office will be chief liaison between the university and elected and appointed officials.  – Auburn University

Pants Store coming to Auburn

The Pants Store, headquartered in Leeds, will open a store in downtown Auburn in the fall. The location will be the Shops at Gay Street, a new development to be anchored by a Publix. The Pants Store opened its first store in Leeds in 1950. – Opelika-Auburn News
