Huntsville tops list of fastest-growing cities in Census

Huntsville was the fastest-growing city in Alabama over the past decade, according to data from the U.S. Census. The Rocket City was followed by Auburn, Madison, Hoover, Tuscaloosa, Northport, Fairhope, Trussville, Phenix City and Daphne. – Alabama Political Reporter

Tuscaloosa extends ban on large student housing developments

The Tuscaloosa City Council extended a moratorium on construction of large student housing developments through at least May 2022. The prohibition began in January 2019. – ABC 33/40

GE Aviation ships milestone fuel nozzle

Auburn’s GE Aviation plant has shipped its 100,000th fuel nozzle tip created with 3-D printing. The site began producing fuel nozzles in 2015 and was the industry’s first mass manufacturing site for producing aircraft engine parts using additive manufacturing. – Made in Alabama
