Two Huntsville shopping centers have been sold to a New York-based company. Huntsville Plaza and University Plaza, which are next to each other on University Drive, were purchased by Montana Property Group for an undisclosed amount.  – AL.com

 

Orange Beach restaurant Playa has closed

Playa, serving coastal seafood in Orange Beach for five years, will close in November. Owners of the restaurant said the company wants to focus on its other restaurant, Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina. – Bama Buzz

Lockheed Martin adds almost $11 million to defense contract

Lockheed Martin in Huntsville has been awarded a $10.9 million modification to a previous contract for engineering services for the Missile Defense Agency at Redstone Arsenal. That increases a $153.7 million contract to $164.6 million.  – Defense Daily
