Huntsville’s Randolph School has purchased 26 acres, expanding its campus to 77 acres. This will allow the school to take its lower and middle schools, now in another location, and move them to the same campus as the high school. – Hville Blast

Madison County schools will offer fire science program

The Madison County Career Technical Center will team with the Alabama Fire College to offer a new fire science program. The partnership will allow students to get training that will give them skills for a career in the firefighting industry, the Madison County School System says. – News 19

Northrop Grumman delivers 1st set of IBCS equipment to the U.S. Army

Northrop Grumman has delivered the first full set of Integrated Battle Command System equipment to the U.S. Army. The work, to be completed at Northrop Grumman’s facilities in Huntsville, is part of a $145 million contract awarded the company in May. – Northrop Grumman

Alabama Shipyard lands $11.3 million Navy contract

Mobile-based Alabama Shipyard has been awarded an $11.3 million contract for work on the replenishment oiler USNS Kanawha. Work will be performed in Mobile from Aug. 31 through mid-December. – U.S. Department of Defense
