Westervelt acquires nearly 300-acre mitigation bank

Westervelt Ecological Services, a division of the Tuscaloosa-based Westervelt Company, has acquired the Enon-Sehoy Mitigation Bank between Phenix City and Union Springs. The 283 acres add to WES’ portfolio of 35,000 acres of restored and perpetually managed lands. – PR Newswire

Austal USA, a shipbuilder based in Mobile, received the Shipbuilders Council of America’s Excellence in Safety award for the 17th time. The award came after the company reduced its recordable incident rate by more than 10% last year. – Austal USA
