Huntsville city officials are celebrating the groundbreaking of a new city hall. The current 61,000-square-foot city hall will be replaced with one nearly three times its size, providing office space for 370 employees. – News 19

 

Palomar Insurance expands to Greenville, South Carolina

Montgomery-based Palomar Insurance Corp. has opened an office in Greenville, South Carolina. The office serves as an expansion of the Palomar Hart Group Transportation Division, as well as Palomar’s Aesthetisure and AI2 Cosmetic Surgery Complication Insurance program. – Palomar Insurance Corp.

Bryant Bank gives UAH business college $1.5 million

Bryant Bank, based in Tuscaloosa, has given $1.5 million to the University of Alabama in Huntsville College of Business. It’s one of the largest gifts ever made to the college and will establish a non-endowed scholarship fund to be called the Bryant Bank UAH Business Scholarships. – University of Alabama in Huntsville

 

Fuel Alabama aims to keep college grads in Alabama

The Fuel Alabama talent conference, which starts April 20 in Birmingham, is aimed at keeping college graduates in the state to take jobs here instead of out of state. Hosted by the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, it will bring together HR professionals, college career centers, recruits, DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) officers and business leaders for a series of workshops and sessions.  – AL.com
