Minor league baseball draws 750K fans in 2022

Alabama’s three minor league baseball teams drew just over 750,000 fans in 2022. The teams are the Rocket City Trash Pandas out of Huntsville, Birmingham Barons and Montgomery Biscuits. The Trash Pandas led the Southern League in attendance, averaging 5,031 fans per game. – Bama Buzz

Wallace State receives $1 million EV grant

Wallace State Community college has received a $1.2 million grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission for supporting electric vehicle manufacturing and maintenance in north Alabama. It’s part of $47 million given to 52 projects in communities affected by coal-related job losses. – The Washington Post
