Hotel, conference center opens in Montgomery
The Equal Justice Initiative has opened the Elevation Convening Center and Hotel in Montgomery. Phase I of the project includes two restaurants, hotel rooms and a fitness center. Eventually, the complex will include an art gallery, theater and more. – Yahoo! News
PNC brings ‘branch on wheels’ to Birmingham

Shrimp’s origin will be tested at National Shrimp Festival
Shrimp served at this weekend’s National Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores will be tested to be sure they are domestic shrimp after a report last year that some vendors were serving imported shrimp. The festival opens Thursday and runs through Sunday, and admission is free. – AL.com
