Hoar Construction has broken ground on St. Peter’s Anglican Church in the Crestline Park neighborhood of Birmingham.
The 28,000-square-foot church on nearly four acres is expected to be completed by summer 2027. It will be the new campus for St. Peter’s, which is currently nearby in Mountain Brook.
“We’re honored to help St. Peter’s invest in the future of its congregation by creating a new home that will support its ministry for decades to come,” said Ben Carmichael, project executive at Hoar. “The facility is thoughtfully designed to support worship, fellowship and education, while creating room for future growth. For our team at Hoar, this project is especially meaningful since church construction helped lay the foundation for our company more than 85 years ago.”
The church will include a columbarium, a handcrafted altar rail, bell tower, covered porticos and more.
Live Design Group is the architect for the project, with Schoel Engineering providing civil engineering services.
