Birmingham’s B.L. Harbert International will build a $43.5 million Flight Dynamics Research Facility for NASA. Design development of the facility at the Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virgina, will begin this fall, and it’s scheduled for completion in September 2024. —  AL.com

 

BancorpSouth, Cadence merger receives final FDIC approval

With final FDIC approval received, the merger of BancorpSouth Bank and Cadence Bancorporation is scheduled to close on Oct. 31. BancorpSouth and Cadence, based in Mississippi and Texas, respectively, both have branches in Alabama, and the combined company will have a primary operations center in Birmingham. – PR Newswire
