USA Health adds Dr. Hamza Ikrai to its nephrology team

USA Health has added Hamza Ikrai, M.D., a nephrologist with advanced training in kidney disease and transplant nephrology.

Ikrai earned his medical degree from the Hashemite University in Zarqa, Jordan, before completing an internal medicine residency at Islamic Hospital in Amman, Jordan, where he served as chief resident.

He completed a nephrology fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jasckson. He subsequently completed a transplant nephrology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, further expanding his expertise in the care of kidney transplant recipients and transplant candidates.

“Nephrology is a specialty where you can truly save lives and make a meaningful difference in a patient’s quality of life,” Ikrai said. “I’ve always enjoyed the critical thinking it requires, especially when managing complex acid-base and electrolyte disorders.”
