Former Space Development Agency head is AU’s director of space innovation

Derek Tournear, the inaugural director of the Space Development Agency when it was established in 2019, has been named Auburn University’s director of space innovation. His position will be based in Auburn’s office in Washington, D.C., where he’ll report to Jonathan Pettus, executive director of Auburn’s Applied Research Institute in Huntsville. – PR Newswire
