Birmingham-based civil and transportation engineering firm SARCOR LLC has named Gregory L. Dawkins, P.E., as its chief operations officer.
Dawkins joins the firm with more than 25 years of experience in civil engineering and public infrastructure management.
An Alabama-native and U.S. Army veteran, Dawkins previously served as city traffic engineer for the city of Birmingham and most recently as vice president of civil engineering at a regional firm. In his new role, he will oversee SARCOR’s daily operations, execute the firm’s strategic goals and lead technical teams across infrastructure and transportation design projects.
He also will serve as the company’s engineer of record and be responsible for quality assurance, regulatory compliance and technical mentorship across the firm’s portfolio.
